portmap used by inetd?
Hi all! I am using the runlevel editor in Suse 8.0. I was disabling unneeded services so I tried to disable portmap as I always did before. THis time yast2 comes up and shouts that portmap is necessary to inetd? Is it true? Why now it is needed and before it was not? Is it a bug? TIA, Praise

I can think of wierd cases were it might be (pop-before-relay using dracd and a pop daemon run inetd).
Is it a bug?
I don't think so but it's a little strange. -- -ckm
