No, you can't burn a bootable cdrom with those files, you will have to create boot disks (boot, modules1, modules2) using RAWRITE and then start your system from those floppies. Once the setup is started just choose the hdd partition as the source medium and start the installation! I wasn't able to start the graphical setup thou... i managed to install SuSE through the "old" text based setup. Bye Andrea

1. from ftp OK it is ~ 4.x Gb 2. install from HD no problem, just make boot disket and go ftp://ftp.rpmfind.net/linux/SuSE-Linux/i386/7.3/disks Or read this: http://sdb.suse.de/sdb/en/html/lmuelle_suselinux_internet.html 3. CDs - yes you can make cd according to description from this : http://www.suse.com/en/products/suse_linux/i386/packages_professional/index.... Try boston mirror it is faster than suse.com http://www.suse.com/us/support/download/ftp/int_mirrors.html Cheers Julo

Yes Jul, might be true, but since Stanislav is from Poland (at least I think so by his name and top-level-domain .pl), I'd rather recommend a central European mirror, such as ftp://ftp.gwdg.de which is located only a few houndred kilometers west, in Goettingen / Germany ... I use this mirror, normally, and it uses my 64 kbit/s ISDN almost to 100% when I dl stuff from there, and it's really fast when I connect from office. Cheers ....
