[opensuse] Dolphin doesn't exit?
Dolphin Version 1.5.9 Using KDE Development Platform 4.5.80 (4.6 Beta1) <<<<--------BETA I've noticed that Dolphin, once started and exited will not start again. As root, dolphin process exits within a second after closing the window (by any normal means), but as a regular user the process hangs around forever after the window is closed. Any attempt to restart dolphin again after closing the GUI will start another process, but will never show the window. If you leave the first dolphin process running, you can start as many additional ones as you wish, but close the last window and you get no additional dolphin launches till you kill off that lingering process. If started from a console you see this: jsa@poulsbo:~> /usr/bin/dolphin kde(9455): Communication problem with "dolphin" , it probably crashed. Error message was: "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply" : " "Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken." " If you kill the original dolphin process you can start a new one. -- Explain again the part about rm -rf / -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
