Hi, Just wondering if Suse's Yast program has the ability to setup IP masquerade? IE one real eth0 interface and one non routable eth0:1 (192.168.0.1/24 ip address attached to it) Can this be done, most people asking for linux assistance all want ip masquerading for the hot new cable modems. and I think that the ethernet setup under Yast is great, but then to have to hand edit the filter / firewall rules is not for the faint of heart.
It is possible. Is explained in the handbook that comes with SuSE 5.1(german version but I think it should be the same in the english version of the handbook). In Yast you are going to system administration and then to Change configuration file. There are four entrys that start with MSQ_.
