I installed something on my Suse 9.1 linux and it changed the password to the mysql and now I can't get in anymore. I have found no way to get in to change it, so I thought I would uninstall and then reinstall to get controll back. Yast says under software that it can be used to install and uninstall. I was not able to find the way to uninstall using YAST. Does anyone know how to do so or how to get into mysql again? TIA Bob

In the same place you click to install the software keep clicking until a mini trashcan appears, that will tell YaST to un-install the package. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998 "The day Microsoft makes something that doesn't suck is probably the day they start making vacuum cleaners." -Ernst Jan Plugge

Many thanks. It was a bit hidden but I finally found it. I was able to uninstall and install and now I am ready to set it up. Thanks again Bob
