In case you missed it, I only want 127.0.0.1 [in /etc/resolv.conf]
Sigh ... no, I did not miss it. You were told from the very beginning (not the beginning of *this* thread but some other on the same topic you started earlier) to edit /etc/resolv.conf and put there whatever static information you needed. You refused. Which is yet another reason for my overreaction recently.
I too have had to be very careful with not overreacting. I cannot help but think this thread is an archetypical example of how _not_ to ask for support. "I want this problem solved, in this particlarly way, and it doesn't work, help me.". Proposed solutions are refused because "they are not what I want". The much-too-frequently changing DNS config is however a puzzling issue, even if only because it causes too much written to the log. Sofar we have neither explanation nor solution. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (14.8°C) Member, openSUSE Heroes (2016 - present) We're hiring - https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Heroes

That was the part that, when I wrote initially, I wanted help with. The rest I could figure it out on my own. Sorry if having my own ideas about it got you on edge. Being tired and short of sleep doesn't help (my cousin is having surgery today, me waiting for news anxiously). -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.4 x86_64 at Telcontar)
