[opensuse] OOo 2.4 not rendering fonts
Half my fonts go back to the days of Win311. Until now they all rendered fine. Now only one in ten works correct. Kword, ABIWord and the font viewers of KDE and Gnome see them. Kword can use these fonts just fine so what is wrong with OOo? How do I correct OOo??????????????? You start off by not sticking half-a-million ?s after a question, the English language only requires one to indicate a query. Then you might want to consider providing more information: Did you only just upgrade to 2.4 or have you been using it for some time? If you only just upgraded, how did you? Was it part of upgrading to openSUSE 11.0, did you get it from the Build Service, did you obtain the install files from go-oo.org or openoffice.org? If you've been using it for some time, did something else change? The more [useful] information you provide, the more likely you are to get a useful response. -- James Ogley, openSUSE Member: GNOME Team and Planet SUSE. riggwelter@opensuse.org http://opensuse.org/GNOME http://planetsuse.org openSUSE: Get It, Discover It, Create It at http://www.opensuse.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I pull it fresh from OpenOffice Org and then run its installer as root. I tried it on another machine after removing OOo 2.3.1 and doing a clean install. Still no fonts working from the archive. fonts worked in 2.3.1 so its 2.4.x which is bugged. I am using the one for Suse 10.x which contains the RPM's. Other than downgrading features from 2.3.1 to 2.4.0 and then 2.4.1, I made no changes. Is there a reason you do not use the opensuse versions from the build service? They should work much better for you, and integrate better into your system, since they was designed to. -- Joe Morris Registered Linux user 231871 running openSUSE 10.3 x86_64 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
