[opensuse] Default Browser for Thunderbird
I cannot call up Firefox with the appropriate URL when clicking on a URL in a message in Thunderbird. I am operating both applications under SUSE 10.3 and KDE. I selected Firefox and KDE entered "mozillafirefox" in the KDE Control Center / KDE Components / Component Chooser / Web Browser. When in Firefox, clicking onto e-mail addresses calls up Thunderbird's message editor. Am I missing a variable? Or is there something else I must do? I clicked on a URL in a piece of e-mail and the hard drive light acted up and then stopped and nothing happened. I wonder if it would work better if I simply downloaded Firefox from the web and loaded it into my home directory, rather than use the SUSE-provided one? 99% of the time, NO. ESPECIALLY if you have to ask! ps: ANY possibility that you might trim some of your lengthy quoting? - -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.4-svn4472 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFHK/GEClSjbQz1U5oRAkNcAJ4qA2JHiCHNgUMpuO1muzDU/UjPXQCdESnT j4OljBRR8uwLZbBOTHlTUxc= =tgGF -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Hmmm???????????? That's what I had to do to mine to get it working. The last couple upgrades to Thunderbird didn't even have those strings in the config file. well........................ I know in my case I added the Mozilla OpenSuSE repo to Yast. Maybe there is something different in the installs. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
