Hi I want to ask if anyone could explain how a patch can be 56 MB??? When I saw this big patch,I thought it was something wrong, but it still shows it is 56 MB.If a patch is so big, then I need to ask if there is any software, where I can begin a download, and then pause it,and continue next time.Else I need to be online for one day,and that is not possible. Thanks for one or another tip on this question. Do you really need this patch? ;-) I'm not sure of a program to do the above (although I'm sure they exist). Someone mentioned curl to me (http://curl.haxx.nu/), but I don't know if it does what you want. If it was me, I'd just use the standard console ftp client. As long as you know the syntax... # ftp <site> cd <dir-of-patch> get <name-of-patch> <what-you-want-to-save-it-as> then when you want to resume at a later date/time: # ftp <site> cd <dir-of-patch> reget <name-of-patch> <what-you-saved-it-as-before> That should work, I think ;-) HTH, Chris -- __ _ -o)/ / (_)__ __ ____ __ Chris Reeves /\\ /__/ / _ \/ // /\ \/ / ICQ# 22219005 _\_v __/_/_//_/\_,_/ /_/\_\ -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

I would install ncftp. It is a commandline ftp program that can be found on your cd's. It does resumes quite nicely. hope this helps, -- Ben Rosenberg mailto:ben@whack.org -------------------- "Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom" --Gen. Another possibility is wget, which also is able to do resumes and is a pure
commandline tool.

ftp has got a "reget" feature, to continue were it left of. (see man page) there are other ftp clients /clones that do this a bit more userfriendly...
Thanks for one or another tip on this question.
