High CPU usage for X
Hello I am having some troubles with X and its CPU usage, it seems to spike every few seconds, this is causing other things to slow down a bit. Has anyone seen this? I remember someone saying something about suseplugger causing this, but even with it stopped, CPU usage is still spikey, with X spiking up to about 40% CPU usage. PS its SuSE9.3 ia386 Thanks, H

You could try using "top" to determine which app is doing it. - -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.0 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Made with pgp4pine 1.76 iD8DBQFCsXNbtTMYHG2NR9URAoZJAJ4rQ/6mZmIew+LtzrdA9vy49QmV+ACfYFiQ F/HhUxYTF6jrl79TItZvRhE= =0eeH -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

You could try using "top" to determine which app is doing it. its X thats using the cpu, i originally found this out by using top... ;)
In the end I found that if I closed my kasbar, it stopped - i have not looked any further into it. Thanks, H
