I hate how gmail doesn't show me my own posts until there's a reply.
Solution: Just use gmail to receive. Post via your provider and use your gmail return/from address. -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Not everybody can do that. I can't. Providers here do not allow sending email with a from address that is not theirs, for instance (1). Then, there are people that are not at home when using gmail for posting, so that they don't have access to their ISP. Ie, they are using gmail in order not to use the email at the place they are in (job?) at the moment. (1) As a matter of fact, I have to use gmail for sending emails with different addresses for which I have no smtp server: for instance, for my opensuse alias. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. Thanks. It's just that AT&T mail really sucks. I don't even check it any more. Heck, I don't even remember what it is. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Doesn't make any difference, you just use at&t for smtp. -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Okay, stupid me found the switch in the settings. Sorry about that.
You can reply to the copy of your sent email in the output folder. It will link properly to the thread; just check the "to:" address. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. Tried that and it was a pain in the butt, but mainly I wasn't sure it would show are part of the thread. Thanks for the information. That's what I'll do next time. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I know it works with a proper mail client, but I haven't tried using gmail webmail. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
