Hoi Listmates,
On a ext3 filesystem I have 2 files that are corrupted. I can't do anything with them , not delete or rename. The rm error tels me "> cannot remove `15 - You & I (Trentem?ller Free Dub).flac': No such file or directory Deleting in dolphin is also not possible. (couls not delete file)
There is 1 unreadable character in the filename but I am not sure that this is the problem. I run fsck -f -p on this partition bat this gives me no errors.
What else can I do to repair this filesystem ?
Can you try mv
<newname> and then do something with it?
This is the best solution, this saved my files, Thank you very much. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

If there are only few files with "bad" characters in their names, I usually use file manager, allowing "in place rename", like krusader (I think konqueror should also be able to do it). You just right-click on the file name, select "rename" and then fully erase file name and print something simple like "15.flac".
