Fwd: [SLE] Postfix Question
Hi, Anyone knows how to configure Postfix so all copies of outgoing mail (except from few selected addresses) will be forwarder to certain e-mail, i.e. admin@host.com? Thanks in advance for any suggestion(s). ********************************************* * Best Regards --- Andrei Verovski * * Personal Home Page * http://snow.prohosting.com/guru4mac/ * Mac, Linux, DTP, Development, IT WEB Site *********************************************

The best place to ask such a question would be the postfix list. But the answer would be to read the postfix documentation. Excerpted from http://www.postfix.org/cleanup.8.html AUTOMATIC BCC RECIPIENT CONTROLS Postfix can automatically add BCC (blind carbon copy) when mail enters the mail system: always_bcc (empty) Optional address that receives a "blind carbon copy" of each message that is received by the Post- fix mail system. Available in Postfix version 2.1 and later: sender_bcc_maps (empty) Optional BCC (blind carbon-copy) address lookup tables, indexed by sender address. recipient_bcc_maps (empty) Optional BCC (blind carbon-copy) address lookup tables, indexed by recipient address. -- Jarod C. Hi, Jarod, Thanks a lot for advice ! Can you please tell me if "always_bcc" option is being applied to incomming mails only or to both incomming and outgoing mails (s)? Or I can specify "sender_bcc_maps" something like mike@host.com admin@host.com in order to copy all outgoing mails from mike@host.com to admin@host.com? Sorry, founf no examples so far.

I believe it functions exactly like that snippet I included says. It applies to "each message that is received by the Postfix mail system". So if your system is used for both incoming and outgoing mail relay, both incoming and outgoing messages will go to the bcc recipient(s).
Or I can specify "sender_bcc_maps" something like mike@host.com admin@host.com in order to copy all outgoing mails from mike@host.com to admin@host.com?
I haven't a clue. I don't use the bcc maps myself, I was just pointing you to where you should read up on the subject. Note that you have to be using postifx 2.1 or later to use the split sender/recipient bcc maps.
Sorry, founf no examples so far.
Check the postfix mailing list archive, then ask there if you can't determine how from the docs.
