[opensuse] Upgrade KDE 3.5.3 to 3.5.5 on 10.1
I would like to upgrade my KDE 3.5.3 on my opensuse 10.1 system to KDE 3.5.5. I would like to use smart for this. Do I just need to add the following repos to do this? http://repos.opensuse.org/KDE:/ http://repos.opensuse.org/ KDE:/KDE3/ http://repos.opensuse.org/KDE:/Backports/ Are there any other mirrors for this (the opensuse ones tend to be on the slow side)? I couldn't find any other ones listes on the opensuse.org web site. Thanks, Brian -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

this is not a repo, only a subdirectory.
http://repos.opensuse.org/ KDE:/KDE3/
This contains newest KDE for released SUSE versions
this are newest KDE applications, backported to released versions, does not require the updated KDE above.

If you add http:/software.opensuse.org/download/KDE:/KDE3/ instead of http://repos.opensuse.org/ KDE:/KDE3/ you get automatic mirror selection. Duncan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

At last, someone explained that. Thanks. "software" was always faster than "repos", now I understand why. So what is download.opensuse.org.....? -- _____________________________________ John Andersen

It's where you download.opensuse :-) (ie. the installation repositories). -- The best way to accelerate a computer running Windows is at 9.81 m/s² -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
