The real problem isn't apparent in the stout info. I found on Deja News (Thank god for such a database) that there is an inherent incompatibility with 16bpp modes with that server and enlightenment. Also some probs with 32 bpp. I simple set the DefaultColorDepth in XF86Config to 15 and it fixed it right up. :) Thanks anyway! BTW, E will always kick KDE's butt... No it is using its native PPM loader fine - that is not he problem - that is what those messages are - the Xserver quits on E - the "x IO Fatal Error" means E lost its X connection - most likely because X just died. It could Be I've tickeld a nice bug in your Xserver - an Xserver does nto go crashing unless it has bugs.
