On the Windows servers we manage, we use a little utility to hack the registry. The hack changes the title of the "My Computer" icon to whatever we want. Novell's Cool Whatevers site has one of these as well. The example they use is to rename the My Computer icon with a mix of static text and environment variables, so the icon reads something like "LMStone on Server48", using the environment variables for user and computer name, and the static text " on ". Is there an equivalent utility for SuSE KDE? It's very handy when you are patching a bunch-o machines and you want to know exactly which server you are about to reboot!.
