My co. runs SuSE 9.3 Pro for a whole bunch of different things, currently backing them up to tape locally. We're starting to look at backing up remotely, to a contracted provider. I've looked at a number of services, and have gotten the answer (quite often!) that they "only support RHES 3". Meaning that stuff gets stuck in /usr/local, or kernel modules are built based on the kernel versions current in that distro. But I figure that there has to be somewhere out there who supports SuSE Pro 9.3... Ideally, I'm looking for a provider who has an RPM install available of their agent, whatever that may be, which has the usual SuSE alterations in it (ie, not using /usr/local, putting docs in /usr/share/doc/packages/xxxx, and the like). Alternately, a provider who has a binary installer that allows paths to be specified... Anyone have any knowledge or experience they can share? Thanks, Ian
