[opensuse] 10.3 OpenOffice 3.1 All Icons Dissappeared
Listmates, Strange happenings on 10.3 and openOffice 3.1.06. After installing the update from the buildservice repositories, all of the icons are GONE as well as the openSuSE branding splash screen graphics ;-( I reinstalled the icon theme for OO which was supposed to put the icons in: [15:32 providence/home/david] # rpm -ql OpenOffice_org-icon-themes /usr/share/ooo3 /usr/share/ooo3/basis3.1 /usr/share/ooo3/basis3.1/share /usr/share/ooo3/basis3.1/share/config /usr/share/ooo3/basis3.1/share/config/images.zip /usr/share/ooo3/basis3.1/share/config/images_crystal.zip /usr/share/ooo3/basis3.1/share/config/images_hicontrast.zip /usr/share/ooo3/basis3.1/share/config/images_industrial.zip /usr/share/ooo3/basis3.1/share/config/images_tango.zip Which it did, but open up openoffice and there are no icons, even after changing tools -> options -> view and playing with the icon scheme setting (crystal, tango, etc...) Additionally, (I don't know if this is related), but, branding isn't working and the file size is Zero?? A Zero byte files doesn't look right. What say the ooo gurus?
I checked my other 10.3 boxes and confirmed the same loss of icons. So this isn't something I did to one box, it is definitely the result of a bad update from buildservice. -- David C. I went ahead and opened a bug report if anyone wants to add comments there. We shall see how quickly it is fixed. Hmm, you need to install the package OpenOffice_org-branding-upstream to get the splash screen. Alternatively, you might get OpenOffice_org-branding-openSUSE from a newer distro. I have just fixed the spec file, so the next version will require it even on openSUSE-10.3. The branding packages were introduced in openSUSE-11.0...

Heh, it is looks strange. To be honest, I am not sure what this is for.
