Problems setting up a new kernel to boot.
I'm using the following line to create a initrd but it keeps erroring out. I've Done this before I'm not sure why it isnt' working. mk_initrd -k bzImage.SuSE-2.4.18 -i"initrd.SuSE-2.4.18" -m "resierfs" -s auto ##################### ERROR EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE using "/dev/hda2" as root device (mounted on "/" as "reiserfs") creating initrd "//boot/initrd.SuSE-2.4.18" for kernel "//boot/bzImage.SuSE-2.4.18" (2.4.18-SMP) failed to mount image Rowan Reid Job Captain, Systems Administrator STUDIO 3 ARCHITECTS 909 982 1717

do you have loop filesystem in your kernel config
If you mean the loopback device (block devices) yea I'm not aware of a loop FS
