[opensuse] Latest oS Firefox update changes default search provider to Yahoo?
Hi all, I've noticed on a couple of different machines the last few days, running oS 12.3 and 13.1, that following the most recent round of updates (which included one for Firefox,) the next time I loaded the browser, my default search engine was now Yahoo? It's no problem to change it back, but I was just curious if there was a reason behind it? Fortunately, it's easy enough to change the default and even remove undesirables such as Bing. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
Cool cool, all makes sense :) Just wasn't really expecting it, so the first time I went to search I was surprised by it :) Thanks everyone :o) And, from my understanding, a number of non-profits hire their execs for two main things - - Their connections - Their ability to raise money So, while I hate the thought of the execs of non-profits making bukoo bucks, my business side can, in a way, understand the logic. Personally, I think that they should do it for a regular salary (or free) (which, to me, either of those would be a really good selling point for donations...) but then again, a lot of people care a whole lot more about money than I do ;) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I heard that Yahoo agreed to pay Mozilla Big Bux on a five-year contract to be listed as the default search engine. If this helps to support Firefox I'm good with it! Regards, Lew -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Yes, but how much money you think they need to run Mozilla Corporation with around 1000 employees? Wolfgang -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Non-profit doesn't mean non-income Some 'charities' and other tax-exempt organizations pay their 'executives' very well, either in specie or by granting them an excellent life-style. I don't think the most expensive is firefox (what is really new?) https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/contribute/ I just regret thunderbird is a bit alone jdd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
