Hi everyone Could someone point me to a howto as to get this working in 7.3 with adsl? Is there anything that will send faxes out of the box without having to go through all this? Thanks, steve.

Inept coward that I am, I tried setting up Hylafax, and then gave up. Instead, I achieved faxing nirvana by using the wonderful efax suite (www.cce.com/efax). Once your modem is recognised, you just enter in a terminal something like "fax <number> <document>" and off it goes. Brill. It only works on PostScript docs, and TIFFS, but StarOffice can save to a PS file, so that's no problem. Kevin

Hi, sounds great. I have it installed but I have an adsl router as my 'modem'. I have tried etho as the DEV in the script but nothing. Can you use an adsl setup to send faxes I wonder? THanks, Steve

Use of a line splitter solves your problem so you can use the phone also :-) -- Togan Muftuoglu Unofficial SuSE FAQ Maintainer http://dinamizm.ath.cx

So do I have to have a conventional modem too? Steve.
