[opensuse] Suse 13.2: xterm - yast2 - keyboard mapping shifted
I have experienced an odd problem with keyboard mapping and wonder if anyone has any thoughts on this:
From my MS Windows 8 desktop, I use putty to log on a OpenSuse 13.2 machine. All the key mappings are fine on the terminal session.
When I enter yast2 & to start up YaST Control Center, in the Search box, my keyboard inputs are shifted by one key, ie. pressing the button "q" will show nothing, but pressing the button "w" will give "q". Likewise, pressing the letter a will show nothing, but pressing the letter s will give a in the Search box. Similarly, 2 becomes 1, 3 becomes 2, and x becomes z and c becomes x... All these however work perfectly fine at the OpenSuse 13.2 console. But it happens again when I use ssh -Y to log on from another Linux box and then start up yast2 again. Should also say, the xterm sessions work fine, just the yast2 window is showing this oddity.
