Ever seen an away message, or someone's misconfigured mail server bounces when you have posted? If replies went to the group, it would create a never ending loop.
With all the lists I've been on, I've never seen that happen.
Because the reply to is not set to the list :-P

Reply to list works for: suse mandrake fefora centos gentoo Yes I have gotten vacation messages but they are not an endless loop, get one message and thats it. While I do use kmail and have the reply to group, there are times when I will just hit the reply and after sent go oops. Mike ------------------------------------------------------- Opps my mistake suse should not have been in the list as it has a broken mail server. I have seen lots of vacation messages sent from a single outlook. IF the list server would set a reply to the list, or a "from" from the list, the "vacation" message appearing at the list would trigger a new vacation message from outlook, which is sent to the list, to the subscribers, and triggers a new one... endless.

Yes, that's possible. I have a filter that moves direct replies and CCs to a different folder. I'm not bothered by them. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
