[opensuse] does anybody use linphone with 15.1 on this list?
I have an audio issue with linphone. I can hear the opponent but the microphone does not work. And this no matter if BT, jack, usb etc. Simply there is no outgoing sound. Has anybody in use this program with SIP? Any hints? _________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________ Ihre E-Mail-Postfcher sicher & zentral an einem Ort. I tried it long ago. I have forgotten the results, but it is at the top of my notes. I don't have it installed. Do you know if the mic does work? One of the several phone programs I tested had an echo test. You could call certain number, record a message, and it would repeat the recording so that you could verify it. I have two installed. cer@Telcontar:~> sflphone sflphone: error while loading shared libraries: libnotify.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory cer@Telcontar:~> Ah, it was a local installation. I had to build it myself long ago. It has decayed. Ekiga. That's the one with the echo test. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.0 x86_64 at Telcontar)

Ekiga. That's the one with the echo test. By standard on 15.1 linphone seems to work well and does connect (here behind a fritzbox with udp). However I am not able to use the microphone, that is no matter which hardware I use. I looked at multimedia in plasma and you have only one voice there that is: pulseaudio. So, I verified that pulseaudio handles correctly the outputchange of hardware when plugged in. I also hear in my own headphone the mic when I blow against the mic. But the application seems not to perceive the mic.
I cannot countercheck because the only other machine I have is TW and there linphone segfaults (bug report opened today). In the moment I try to set up a linphone account to see if it connects. _________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________ Ihre E-Mail-Postfcher sicher & zentral an einem Ort. A friend of mine and me develop an open-source iPhone and Android app for secure calls that uses liblinphone (simlar.org). After we've updated the Android app to the current liblinphone, Android users couldn't hear iPhone users anymore. Do they hear you when you call them? And are your opponents using the same (lib)linphone version? Gruß Jan No, they do not here me. But I do hear them. They are using either an old linphone version (Leap 42.3 repos) or the normal sip telephone, that is, I am using a SIP account that can call normal phones. When I call myself e.g. on mobile phone number or fix, then I do here me but

I would bet this is a bug of linphone when it plays together with pulseaudio. _________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________ Ihre E-Mail-Postfächer sicher & zentral an einem Ort.
