[opensuse] one click installs (.ymp) broken?
Hello listmates, Multiple .ymp's don't see mto work for me anymore: I try to get them via my browser but no further action occurs (other than a prompt offering me to save them as text files). has anybody else had this problem? Does anybody know what has changed? Thanks. Boris. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Which version of openSUSE are you using? Which browser are you using? Probably you've no longer got them associated with the correct helper application. -- Benjamin Weber -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Well, I use OpenSuSE 11.1 and whatever Firefox comes with it (v 3+). Yes, it is possible the helper application is no longer associated... though why, I never changed any relevant settings that I know of? ... At any rate, what's the correct helper application? Does it offers "open with" selection menu If yes browse to the /sbin/OneClickInstallUI and open the ymp with that. You can also set it automatically in Firefox Edit - Preferences-Applications and set /sbin/OneClickInstallUI for YMP file. Hello, I just peformed a clean install of opensuse 11.1 on a computer and I experienced the same problem. Either using firefox or konqeror. I do not have the choice to execute the ymp script. I never encoutered this before, and I wonder wether it could be related to the opensuse servers shutdown during this week end ? So, i dont know whats wrong, but I wanted to try again tomorrow. Yes it looks like the webserver is serving it as text/plain while it should be serving it as text/x-suse-ymp. That it didn't work for a few days was fallout from the replacement setup that we where running at the time. We had a temporary download.opensuse.org setup on a different machine, and the setup was lacking the MIME type for ymp files. That's also why it worked again later, when we migrated back to the original server. Borris, I had the same problem tonight with openSuSE 11.0 in both Firefox and Konqueror. The only browser that worked was Opera. Both Firefox and Konqueror just showed the text of the .ymp file.
