Be ware that the 'official' Motif library on linux these days the OpenMotif version is. OpenMotif is from the motif group. But, although it's official, we had substantional problems with these libraries. But hey, if your app doesn't use shared libs then I don't know what *might* be the problem. Regards Harry

The problem with Motif that Motif isn't Motif. You have lesstif, openmotif and some commercial motif libraries. SuSE comes with lesstif and openmotif. Depending on your version one of them is installed. We had some big problems with the different open source motif libraries (lesstif and openmotif) and we upgraded to a commercial motif variant, MetroMotif from MetroLink. I hate it to say, but in this particular case the commercial variant is better than the open source one's.

I don't think that's the problem here. I'm pretty sure they Motif is statically bound in this app, and it's commercial. I'll put very good money on their using the 'official' Motif libs.
