Re: [SLE] bttv problem
Dear Geoff, dear Zentara, Thanks for your help. I have now a functioning xawtv. Sound is there but not on the expected frequency. For my use this is fully satisfactory. What gave me finely the image was the change of ppl from the advised for my card (WinTV, Bt848 old) from ppl 0 to ppl 1. The fuzy image I got wit the first mode changed at once to a very sharp picture. Color is not yet satisfactory and as said above sound is not there. It has taken me close to three months to come this far ;-).

Thanks for the feedback Constant. For different reasons it took me about a month to get my xawtv working (caused by problems with overlay on my Matrox G400 card). Similar delays here. It took me awhile to figure out why my card was hanging the system when it started up. The i2c module took 99% cpu for 3 minutes. Somewhere "way down" in the docs, I found the right module option. I thought the card was broke for awhile. :-)
