To all who read this list. Just want to say "THANK YOU" to all of the wonderful people who reply to our plight and unsolveable? problems. You are our Guru's. We don't know what we would do without the likes of you. SuSE should be paying you. I really believe that this list is what makes SuSE special. You solve all of their problems for them. C'mon SuSE give these great folks some recognition. I, and many others, wish that we could just take a portion of your knowledge and transpalnt it into our own heads. We just don't know where you come up with these answers for us in desparate need. I will not name names in fear of leaving someone out. But the regular readers of this list know who you are. how to setup FTP server in suse. I have the sample directory in /usr/local/ftp and I can connect to this server as anonymous user, but uploading won't work. FTP-Client says after STOR /filepath/filename 500 unknown command. There's no need to set up account in this.. just to get file transfering to work Thanks, PETE
