Hi. I downloaded the complete update tree for SuSE 7.3 (more than 1 GB) and burned it all to two CDs (for transport to my PC at home where I have no network connection). I then tried to do a CD update but Yast does not find any updates on my CDs (doesn't matter if I mount the CD or not). So I copied all files (with intact directory structure) to the hard disk and supplied Yast with the full complete path to the directory with updates. Now Yast says that that directory doesn't exist, but it does for sure. Still Yast help says that update from hard disk should be possible from any reachable path on the disk. Do updates have to be put in a certain path? Is the directory patches.cont (which I have) cruisial in some way? My path of updates is like this: /home/pan/download/update/a1 /home/pan/download/update/ap1 /home/pan/download/update/ap2 ... and so on. /Anders
