Make sure the line beginning APACHE_MODULES="... in /etc/sysconfig/apache2 contains php4. -- JDL Non enim propter gloriam, diuicias aut honores pugnamus set propter libertatem solummodo quam Nemo bonus nisi simul cum vita amittit.

It will be easier in 9.0 -- if the mod_php4 package is installed, the module will also be loaded, without this further measure. John, thanks for all the answers you already gave for this question! Peter

I tried using php with Apache 2 as installed from the SuSE 8.2 disks. I could not get it to work. I uninstalled, went back to Apache 1, and it worked right away. ******************************************************** Powered by SuSE Linux 8.2 Professional KDE 3.1.1 KMail 1.5.1 This is a Microsoft-free computer Bryan S.
