How do I use YOU to download and install Xfree86 4.0.2? When I try to use YAST2, I get to the patches but not to the directory where XFree is kept. Thanks dj tuchler

You can't. YOU is for updates to currently installed patches, mostly security patches and bug fixes. The version of XFree86 you are looking for is probably not considered a bug fix or security patch, so you won't find it in YOU. YOU is not a net-installer like Debian's apt or Mandrake's urpmi.
When I try to use YAST2, I get to the patches but not to the directory where XFree is kept.
Thanks

PS, that's xfree 4.2.0 not 4.0.2, both exist but 4.0.2 is ancient (at least by linux standards ;) ) and 4.2.0 is recent. Having played around with 4.1 and 4.2 (as well as various 4.0.Xs) I would suggest giving 4.2 a go. I'ts more stable, seems to have less memory leaks, is faster (10 - 20% speed up in gears) Currently listening to: The Tea Party - No Woman, No Cry (Live Bob Marley cover) Gerhard, <@jasongeo.com> == The Acoustic Motorbiker == -- __O Standing above the crowd, he had a voice so strong and loud =`\<, we'll miss him (=)/(=) Ranting and pointing his finger, At everything but his heart we'll miss him
