[opensuse] Remove unused packages
Hi, What is the process by which OpenSUSE does garbage collection and removes unused packages (depclean)? Is that done automatically or is there a Zypper command to do it manually? I found mention of zypper rm X -u but that seems to be only applicable to the dependencies of X being removed. Thanks, /~jc -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

My experience is that there is nothing in opensuse that does do any such thing. The rpmorphan thingie posted the other day found quite a few, 170 in my case. (Many more than I was aware of). Of course you have to still be very careful, as many things you might invoke on the command line or via the menus will show up simply because nothing else depends on them. -- _____________________________________ ---This space for rent--- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
