[opensuse] How do I get off this list?
I know that the answer should be to send a message to opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org, but I've done that several times now and it hasn't worked. The "help" address doesn't respond with anything either. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Else: Do you get any sending failur notice? Greetings Michael

No. Send's fine. Nothing comes back. No bounce, no reply from the listserver, nothing at all. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

It should come email either stating that you are not subscribed or offering email link that is used to confirm "unsubscribe". It seems that your provider filters that mail. I got (and have) problems with Charter strange filtering criteria. For instance for ages there was no problem to send mail without subject line and recently I can't send any. It is instantly refused as a spam. Than for some time it was problem to send subscribe or unsubscribe mails and then problem just disappeared. This si for now amusing. BTW, I have option in web mail to declare servers that I accept anyway. -- Regards, Rajko. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I had no problem with the subscribe address. I've tried sending the mail directly from here via SMTP, and via the web interface at myrealbox.com. Neither got a response. Since those are completely different paths that share no common points, it shouldn't be anything filtered here. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

They share common provider, are they? Or even better, filtering email is so common today. If the only problem is unsubscribing I would resort to Patrick's advice, but if one email is lost than you have problem with your provider that has to be addressed too. -- Regards, Rajko. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Actually, no, they don't. myrealbox.com is hosted by Messaging Architects (used to be Novell's NetMail product, recently sold to MA). The web interface to that would be going through MA's servers. My email, here, goes out SMTP via my ISP. That has nothing in common with MA's stuff.

It is, yes. MA's filters have a web interface, and are monitorable and configurable. My own email here is filtered via SpamAssassin, which I've also checked. Nothing is coming back, I am quite sure of that.
If the only problem is unsubscribing I would resort to Patrick's advice,
Done.
but if one email is lost than you have problem with your provider that has to be addressed too.
Just being curious, can *you* unsubscribe the right way? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I tried to see can I get unsubscribe email, and I got it in lesser than a minute, so it works to this point. Now I have to go, it's late here. -- Regards, Rajko. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

But the receiving address being the same, that's the common path that seems suspect to me. I would thing that some thing on the receiving side (isp or your setup) is rejecting or deleting the response emails. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. David, I can confirm this same behaviour..but in my case I know it's something on my side (it's my ISP's filtering system). I was missing some mails from the list... To make a long story short...I decided to open this gmail account for the mailing lists and now I receive every mail. The problem is that I can't unsubscribe from the list (from my other email account) because I never receive the confirmation email. I just sent an email to the mailing-list owner to see if he/she can manually unsubscribe me...Let see if there's a real human there... Oh yes definitely, there's a real human there. It just answered my request right now :) HTH, Jorge -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
