azureus meanings
I have finished to donload for a long time now, and I don't understand the meaning of the azureus (and maybe also other clients) indications: sources clients 0(819) 32(4355) maybe (I guess): sources are the number of available seeding sources (and I'm 1 on the 819), and I am serving 32 of 4355 people asking? is that so? thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://dodin.org/galerie_photo_web/expo/index.html http://lucien.dodin.net http://fr.susewiki.org/index.php?title=Gérer_ses_photos
Hello, jdd írta:
I have finished to donload for a long time now, and I don't understand the meaning of the azureus (and maybe also other clients) indications:
I also have a similar problem. 'peers' seems to be the number of downloaders, but who are 'seeds' and 'dist copies'? I could not find anything about it in the documentation... dist copies? Seeds are people who have the entire files and are sharing/uploading. Peers/leechers are people who have part of the files and are downloading *and* uploading/sharing the parts that they have - which might be 99% .. might be 0.5%. I assume Jdd is right - that the number in the paranteses is the total number of leechers/peers - and the other is the number of people actually connected. Martin / cb400f

I thought that leechers were those downloading without uploading, not sharing. It can happen if the firewall is clossed. - -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.0 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Made with pgp4pine 1.76 iD8DBQFEZH+itTMYHG2NR9URAkfUAJsFt23KQblDe4sj07e9crJ5uCfhBQCfSWvI XupVxO7MZMSgbQ0pxvjIx+A= =9ZrW -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
