You are probably getting files from: - a mirror that is defective. - You have a intermediate proxy that is messing with files in question try this: http://download.opensuse.org/update/13.1/noarch/apparmor-docs-2.8.2-4.8.1.no... what is your nearest mirror ? Another possibility is that you already have a cached copy, bad. You have to erase that cache. Maybe "/var/cache/zypp/". -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 12.3 x86_64 "Dartmouth" at Telcontar)

There is also the possibility (although less likely) that the RAM is broken and is producing bogus checksums. since it has happened to me, causing significant hair loss. should be ruled out by running memtest..however.. This is the least likely cause..you most probably have a corrupted cache (running zypper clean -a will solve that) or a proxy in the middle that is doing weird things. If your memory were broken, other programs may randomly fail too or there will be weird kernel warnings in your logs. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Cant you fetch the complete iso media as an alternative and mount it and dup/zypper from there or even boot from it and use it then? Use aria2c or other similar dependable and verifying means that give you proper stable files as downloads. Maybe storage layer on your system is faulty or similar. How about booting failsafe mode on your current system and trying then? Maybe there is really something bad with your hardware. You have to give it the URL of the metalink file. You see the extension is ".meta4". Actually, it is the same as the normal ".iso" file, but ending in ".iso.meta4".

No, I have not, and I have been having the same insue with other repos, whem I use ,zypper up, no problems, but zypper dup does not working given the same insue with wrong digest in some files and does not install the othe packages without insue too. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

You can not configure a proxy without knowing the proper config. If you are at home you are not likely to have one. If you are at a university or work center then you very probably have one. In that case, you have to ask the network administrator for the details. In any case, just ask whoever is responsible for the network. If that one is you, then you should know if you installed that thing or not. For instance, on work centers or organizations, specially if they cater for Windows machines, they will probably have a proxy in place that also scan for viruses. They typically capture your download order, download the complete file, scan it, and when cleared, they give it to you. Your computer waits and waits for the download, which does not come for some time, and then suddenly it comes (or not, if they think there is a virus). - -- Cheers, Carlos E. R. I can imagine that hair loss. I would bang the table, not having a punch ball at reach.
