Hi,
There does not appear to be a suse-java list. Does anyone develop using java on suse? I have googled and tried to use the Konqueror unfriendly novell.com site and am getting a bit frustrated.
Do all java developers use windows? Or should i move to debian?
cheers Tim
I'm right now writing a usenet java app on my laptop, running Suse 9.3. I'm using Kate as my editor for now, but am looking at either Eclipse or NetBeans for the GUI development. (I'd prefer SWT, but may have to settle for Swing for now.)
I used to use JCreator under windows and am still getting used to the differences in things like the classpath variables (using : instead
of ;).

i'm working on an app using jboss and java, using the jboss-ide under eclipse. it works great! jim
Cool, thanks. I'll look into it. I'm hoping for something to do screen layout, since that's my main issue. (I'm an old VB programmer, so am lazy.) -- kai ponte www.perfectreign.com

The first beta of NetBeans 5.0 will come out soon, and it's got a brand new GUI composer called "Matisse": http://www.javalobby.org/java/forums/t18969.html#91835343 You can bet the latest builds here: http://www.netbeans.info/downloads/download.php?a=n&p=1 -- ============================================================= Glenn Holmer (Linux registered user #16682) ------------------------------------------------------------- "After the vintage season came the aftermath -- and Cenbe." ------------------------------------------------------------- "Vintage Season", Henry Kuttner/C.L.
