[opensuse] Updater keeps insists installing two patches
I use openSuSE 10.3 with KDE 3.5, The updater insists to install two patches: -eclipse-archdep-platform -libgt4 I have accepted several times the installation, but these patches keep appearing as available updates. How can I solve this issue? -- Bogdan Cristea software engineer Sytron Technologies Overseas www.sytron.ro -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Sometimes the installation of packages is too complex for the updater applet, YaST is able to install them. You could try to run 'yast2 online_update' as user root and install these updates. A bug report is needed if this persists -- David C. Rankin, J.D., P.E. Before reporting a bug: Take a look at /var/log/zypper.log and see if it says anything. What's probably happening is it's hitting a dependency problem. Try installing them through YaST and see if a dependency box pops up. Another thing you can do is open a konsole and su in it and do tail -f /var/log/zypper.log and then run the update and watch the konsole and see if anything catches your eye. -- Michael S.
