hello it's me again :) seem like ldconfig wouldn't fix my problem. the error message i get when rebooting the pc is: saving random seed BUG IN DYNAMIC LINKER LD.SO and then hangs forever so i have to push the power button this is very annoying since I remotely administer this pc and sometimes have to reboot it from the shell Thanks in advance for your help
