[S.u.S.E. Linux] 2.0.34 kernel help (gpm and pcmcia)
hmmmm ... i'm trying to get 2.0.34 installed on my laptop and i'm having two problems: first, i cannot find the switch to enable pcmcia support in the kernel using make menuconfig. the second problem is that when the 2.0.34 kernel boots, gpm fails because it cannot find /dev/mouse. /dev/mouse is there and it worked fine under 2.0.33. other than that the new kernel boots and runs fine. i dl'ed the entire 2.0.34 source tree from ftp.suse.com and built it from scratch. any suggestions greatly appreciated. -- -- m - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e

PCMCIA support is under Floppy, IDE and block devices. I think you may have to enable experimental config support at the start of menuconfig to allow the option, and/or select IDE support. I can't help with gpm. I compiled 2.0.34 this morning and it's working fine here.
