[opensuse] Re: KSudoko version 5.0, faulty?
Showstopper KDE issue? :)
Not really I suppose but it keeps me from happy working ;)
Yes, Sudoku is known to keep one from working!
Like to sudoku so I play it regular on my computer. Since KDE4.3 I think I found some problems with KSudoku. Playing the Hard choice I was accustomed to a lot brain gymnastic and it would take me an average of ten minutes to finish a game. Now I play the Hard choice sometimes in one and a half minute. That is certainly not a higher experience level but just the choice of simple easy games.
This would be hard to quantify, and therefore hard to file a bug on. You could I suppose save the original game layouts (Ksnapshot) and compare them to the previous versions' layouts, but barring that you might need to contact the Ksudoku dev directly to ask if the algorithm has changed.
That was one of the reasons I contacted you. Apart from asking around and see if others have the same problem after which you have enough material for a bug report it is very difficult to quantify.
Let's hope other users pipe up. Until you mentioned it, I've never opened the app.
And paying a good game I sometimes are confronted with the information that i have made an error and should change the settings into "Show errors" although this choice has been ticked.
Can you post a screenshot of this? Please remove the checkmark from Show Highlights to make it easier to distinguish.
That is the practical solution. Made some screenshots. First from the tick box 30,8 kb Second from the hard play choice and 64,7 kb Third from a game that did not show any mistakes and gave the message that I should set the tick box. 317 kb.
Would you want to get them?
