Hi Richard,
For those that want to install the latest kde conveniently, it is now part of the apt repository for 8.1 and 8.2. http://linux01.gwdg.de/apt4rpm/freshrpms.html
Probably wishful thinking but would this work on SuSE V8.0 ? If not is there an rpm availabl;e for SuSE 8.0 anywhere?
You can go to the KDE site or: http://www.suse.de/en/private/download/linuks/i386/update_for_8_0/base.html Or any of the SuSE mirrors. If you do upgrade be sure to install the qt libries found on: http://www.suse.de/en/private/download/linuks/i386/update_for_8_0/devel.html (or SuSE's mirrors) especially but not limited to: qt3-non-mt HTH Gar PS I have KDE 3.1.1 running on my 8.0 box, and KDE 3.1.2 on my 8.1 and after some initial problems, happy w/ both. Possible, but in the mean time kde-3.1.3 is provided for all SuSE versions starting at 7.3 and up. -- Richard Bos Without a home the journey is endless
