Dont worry, of course you dont. ;) -- "Progress is possible only if we train ourselves to think about programs without thinking of them as pieces of executable code.” - Edsger W. I don't have access to the machine at the moment but IIRC, main oss main non-oss main debug updates nvidia gnome community stable video lan packman webcam mozilla beta as mentioned above. I won't have access to the machine again until my router for my ISP gets fixed, hopefully tomorrow and I can send the info then. -- Sent from my not necessarily wired not so giant sulking laptop Nate Pearlstein - npearl@sgi.com - Product Support Engineer -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Your problem is most probably that you don't have the default mozilla repository but just mozilla:beta added. You need both since mozilla:beta depends currently on mozilla (for the mozilla-nspr package). I'd call that more or less a bug in the buildservice and/or zypper since it can't handle this dependencies. (The one-click install generated on software.opensuse.org should give the correct meta information to YaST though) Wolfgang -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Thanks Wolfgang, That was exactly the problem. -- Sent from my wired giant hulking workstation Nate Pearlstein - npearl@sgi.com - Product Support Engineer -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
Nate, If you installed the x86_64 OpenSUSE 10.3, then it installs an x86_64 kernel. For some reason, trying to install certain packages will create errors that will indicate that you can either "change the architecture and install", "ignore the requirement", "generally ignore the requirement", and similar errors. If these are the errors that you are getting, then it is a problem that hopefully OpenSUSE will resolve in 11.0, by rebuilding all packages in the x86_64 specifically for the x86_64. That way, all packages that you either try to install or download would be 64 bit packages. As it is, some are 32 bit packages and therefore you get some errors on installing certain packages. You would think that if you go to the download tree for x86_64 that this type of issue would not be there. But for OpenSUSE 10.3, it is. Nate Pearlstein wrote:

I've had the same sort of problem with the multi media in one link. I couldn't even get a full install if I over rid the "best architecture" part but did get a more complete install only having to drop one item. You could try that but I'm slowly concluding I don't want x86_64. It obviously can't fully support all 32 bit code.
