Hello, Hopefully I can explain what I'm looking for... First of all I've just started using SuSE 9.3. I converted my system over from Mandriva LE 2005. Mandriva had the capibility of being able to send system events (i.e. power failure notification (apcupsd), cron job output, etc., etc.) to an email address. It was really nice to get these "system" type emails in my work email (Microsoft Exchange). Does SuSE have this capibility? Regards, -Jeff

edit as root /etc/aliases look for :
snip # root-account, but also forwared to the user "joe". #root: joe, \root snip
and replace with # root-account, but also forwared to the user "joe". root: YOUREMAIL#DOMAIN.COM, \LOCALUSERTORECEIVEMAIL then type as root. newaliases That should be all.
