I have had some interesting results printing to my HP600 with WordPerfect. Font sizes are typically wrong, spacing between characters ignored, miscellaneous special characters ignored.

Hello !

Yes I've suffered this same error with wp 5 for dos and with other old programs. It's caused because the when you don't say print all as graphics, the program tries to guess the font on the printer that matches most with the document one. So when you say print all as graohics , the program doesn't do that it just generates the pixmap for the page you're printing correctly. The only thing it's a bit strange to me it's that this kind of error was tipically associated with old noisy matrix printers and not with ink jet ones.

Hello I just got WP8 on the cover of PC Plus (UK mag), and saw a comment about passing the printing through postscript as the print driver. You can then send your printing to the printer in the normal way. I will try myself soon.
