Well, there is already a Linux replacement for Exchange and it's better too. It's called Lotus Domino. Unfortunately, the Notes client is M$ only but it is simple and clean enough to run under Linux using Wine. Also, it is possible to access Domino using a web browser. The Linux community should pressure Lotus/IBM to develop a native Linux Notes client for Domino ready for the RNext release which should come out next year. SuSE are partnering Lotus by selling Domino as part of their groupware product, perhaps they could "volunteer" to port the Notes client to Linux (for a fee of course).
