It seems that, for whatever reason, ifplugd is NOT being started when I
boot my laptop. If I issue /etc/init.d/network restart (rcnetwork
restart) then ifplugd will start and things work properly.
Does anybody know what might be wrong? Should I file a bug?
This is SUSE 10.0 OSS - the boxed version should be at my doorstep
tomorrow.

Just want to confirm the same behaviour on thinkpad T21. It worked fine without the need of restart in 9.3.

Looks like a bug to me.
