I've recently used both Redhat 5.0 (only for a bit) and Debian hamm. I would agree that glibc isn't ready for prime time just yet, but hopefully will be by this summer. Redhat 5.0 was not a 'clean' product (any readhat machines i deal with... including a few sparcs... are staying with 4.2 at least until 5.1 is out and stable) --Simon On Thu, 26 Feb 1998, James Gray wrote:
