This has been bugging me and I'm hoping someone on the list can point me in the right direction. When I ssh -X from my laptop to the server (SuSE 9.3) and fire up kate, I get two instances of kate displaying on the laptop. This doesn't seem to happen with other apps, like yast2, konqueror or even open office, they result in the expected single instance. Anyone have any idea why this happens with kate and where I might look to make it stop?
