My order from Camelot.ca is still awaiting supply in order to ship. <sigh> I thought we learned some patience with this OS. :) Mike
For good service www.cheapbytes.com, has always done well by me. If one is really desperate, I suppose one could order it from BESTBUY or Fry's. I saw 9.1 on the shelves at my BESTBUY when I got the last copy of SuSE 9.0 Pro they had. ---Jim On Wednesday 26 May 2004 18:32, you wrote:

The copy that i ordered has been on back order for over two months. I've learned my patience with the OS, but not with the corporations backing the OS :) Jim wrote:

Same here, I have ordered my SuSE 9.1 Pro first days of April throught AskNet.de, and still missing, partly is probably my fault... it seems that part of my address was missing and they claim the package was returned because of it, but still it took 3 e-mails from me (plus a lot of investigation. I'll discuss that later) to get them to ask for the right address. One note of advice for those who order things to the suse.asknet.de webstore: if you have to claim something about the order, don't go to suse.asknet.de, go to the main website at asknet.de to figure where to ask questions (and more important, where to get answers). They do not answer direct e-mails.

As I said, www.cheapbytes.com is the way to go, especially if you're not in the States, I think the only store in my area, Lincoln, Nebraska, that handles SuSE is BestBuy. They seem to get it out as fast as they can. Apparently they only handle the Pro version, now. Anyway, I got my 9.0 discounted, so I'm not unhappy. All of my other Linux purchases have come from Cheapbytes, and I never had any complaints about them. ---Jim On Thursday 27 May 2004 07:44, you wrote:

When did they start shipping 9.1 (in the US)? I used to buy from the brick and mortars because I wanted to make sure there was enough demand to get it on the shelf. The last few times, I've had reason to order. I bought 9.0 late in the cycle, and it came right away. It's now 10 days. It's kind of frustrating to know I could potentially install the thing right now over the net. I understand they want to make a few sales before they put it out on the server for free. Can't blame them for wanting to eat. Nonetheless, I would really like to get the new version. I'm having to upgrade a lot of stuff on my own that I would rather not mess with. - -- Regards, Steven -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD4DBQFAt7zdwX61+IL0QsMRAl/WAKCUDrrXmXiE4aDbbDufyhBtRLOjmwCYgXeS kn+Tc0kqXhdwqZOj7qqGCQ== =fdr4 -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

I ordered on the 18th of May, and it has not yet shipped. I hope this is an indicator of higher than expected demand for the product. - -- Regards, Steven -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFAvnenwX61+IL0QsMRAnXCAJ9Gl2Jj/A6yXKMegsDctX6b0Z9PcgCfTUNq ruoVt1+cAKINqx25KAUv1DY= =KVIc -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
