:)
Yeah, compare rotten SUSE Linux 10.1 with Kubuntu. If I look at 10.2 Alpha 4 I think they fixed the most things you complain about. Rug is lightning fast, KDE SUSE updaters is a blast (Gnome one does not work for some reason) and there are a lot more fixes.
10.1 is a bad version. Comparing it with whatever does not say anything about
Okay, I'm curious. Why - apart from the update snafu that has been sinced fixed either with an update or by simply using SMART/APT/Whatever - is 10.1 "a bad version"?
It was not "just a little update snafu"!! It's a major thing. It may not mean much to you as a single advanced Linux user, but if you are talking about a company that it trying to break Linux into the enterprise desktop market to replace Windows, it's a major thing. You hear things like that and then you wonder what other little snafu's are on the horizon. I think quite a few manglers have decided to sit back and wait intil SUSE 11 or 12 because of that little update snafu. cheers, dg Division of University Advancement University of Toronto http://www.dua.utoronto.ca

That is why I am uing 10.0 and not 10.1. I am wating to see it the Suse people come back to reality and include the drivers in 10.2.
